At Easter, we all think about the suffering Jesus went through first in the garden of Gethsemane…the garden of decision. He struggled so much with the decision to go to the cross, knowing what He would suffer, that He sweated blood. He was then savagely beaten and ridiculed before being nailed to a cross. Movies like the Passion of Christ do help us see the blood Jesus shed at the hands of men and the monumental suffering incurred. All of this, Jesus went through before He bore the sins of the world and was judged/suffered for them at the hands of His Father. Truly each Easter we must “Behold the Man!”…the God/man whose Glory shines most brightly in the bloody suffering He went through piercing the darkness with His unmatchable virtue and character!
