Another miracle Jesus performs actually twice in His ministry. See John 21:6 for the second big haul of fish! The main point and lesson of the story is that we are to be fishers of men, women, children, young, old, black, white, brown…..everyone and everywhere! I was reading in the book of Jude (Jesus’ brother) recently about unbelievers being sent to the eternal fire and black darkness after they die. Some Christians believe that there is Hope beyond Hell (a book written about)….that unbelievers get a second chance after they die. In the books: Imagine Heaven and Imagine the God of Heaven there are near death experiences of unbelievers who die and call out to Jesus as they are being taken into Hell and they are rescued to heaven but eventually sent back to earth. The plain reading of Scripture to me says over and over again that it is a “terrifying thing to be delivered into the hands of the living God” and that there is eternal torment and pain for unbelievers! See the story of Lazarus and the rich man in Luke 16:19-31!
The eternal suffering of unbelievers is one of the main reasons I am so passionate about sharing the Hope of Jesus with everyone I can!!! PREACH THE GOSPEL AT ALL TIMES AND IF NECESSARY USE WORDS!
