This is why Easter goes from the saddest day to the most glorious day! God saves the best for last….the fruits of His work to bring us into a relationship with Him. We can understand in a limited way what our new bodies will be like from I Corinthians 15 and the passages in the Gospels about what Jesus did in His resurrection body (since we will have bodies like His). There are also many books that have been written by Christians who have died, been resuscitated, then come back to tell their stories of what God and heaven are like. I have had many patients tell me their stories and they all corroborate the same general experience. When I ponder the future in the presence of Jesus after reading these books and hearing these stories, it is nothing less than exhilarating to think and dream about!!! One of the newest and best books I highly recommend is “Imagine the God of heaven” by John Burke. Enjoy this last Easter blog and praise God for His Goodness and No Greater Love!!!
