Have you ever wondered what it means to be in Union or to be One with God?
Jesus at the last supper tells us “that they (those who believe in Him) may all be One even as You Father are in Me and I in You, that they also be in Us so that the world may believe in Me!”
John 17:21
Paul goes on to say, “the one who joins himself (herself) to the Lord is One Spirit with Him. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit Who is in you Whom you have from God and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price therefore glorify God in your body.” I Corinthians 6:17, 19-20. “Christ (is) in you the Hope of Glory!
Colossians 1:27
Since we are One (in Union) with God as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ: How should we then live?
Jesus left us the Holy Spirit to “guide us into all Truth”. John 16:1. So “where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. But we all with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror, the Glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same Image from Glory to Glory, just as from the Lord the Spirit.” II Corinthians 3:17-18
As we grow spiritually being transformed into the Glory and Image of the Lord, the presence of Christ in the temple of our bodies becomes more real! We are in this world but not of this world. John 15:19 Philippians 3:20-21. So at any moment, we can go inside ourselves to the Garden of Eden, the Holy of Holies where the Godhead can refresh us, speak to us, commune with us, and bring to mind the written Word of God which is “Alive and Powerful!”
Jesus exhorts us that “he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me, you can do nothing.” John 15:5
Abiding is a state of spirit where we yearn for God! We surrender everyone and everything to God, we confess and repent from our sins and we obey His Truth and Will for our lives. Psalm 63 John 15:10 I John 1:9. The fruits of abiding are “Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self-control.” Galatians 5:22-23
Do you need comfort?….go into your temple and let God the Holy Spirit comfort you!
Do you need strength?…go into your temple and let Jesus give you strength!
Do you need to know a father’s love?…..go into your temple and receive the love of your Heavenly Father!

Lyrics to the song Holy of Holies
I’m chasing the angels into the throneroom of God. I sing with the seraphim. Lord, how Majestic You are
The curse is defeated. My sin is erased by Your blood.
There is nothing between us. The veil’s torn away by Your Love
Singing “Holy, holy, holy are You Lord.
The Honor, Glory, Power, and Praise are Yours
[Chorus]
In the Holy of Holies, I lift high the Lamb, Who laid down His life on the cross for my sin
You’re the only Name worthy of Heaven’s acclaim. King Jesus, You rose, and forever You’ll reign!
Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah
I think about Stephen, who loved his Lord more than his life.
Now he stands before Jesus, his robes are washed radiant white
Singing “Holy, holy, holy are You Lord.
Honor, Glory, Power, and Praise are Yours”
Repeat the [Chorus]
Oh, Jesus transform me from Glory to Glory. Make me Your Holy of Holies
I welcome Your Presence. So fill me forever. Make me Your Holy of Holies.
(Repeat)
Repeat the [Chorus]
